The Otto Dix Exhibit just concluded at the Musée Des Beaux-Arts de Montréal. It was, in a word, spectacular. For those of you who do not know who he is, do yourselves a favor and check him out. His work varies from themes of war and death to prostitution and vanity. Eerie and unsettling at times, sad, moving, beautiful.
"Reclining Woman on Leopard Skin". oil on wood, 1927.
"Vanitas".1932.
"The Skull",1924
